14 Nov- What do I need to know today? Sky's going through a hard time

 14 Nov Reading

This card combination indicates a period of being stuck in a negative cycle due to clouded judgment and suppressed emotions, but also signifies the potential for eventual release from these negative patterns. It suggests a need to break free from unhealthy attachments and mindsets, which can be achieved by overcoming communication breakdowns and emotional blockages to finally reach a place of personal fulfillment.

The combination's meaning

Reversed Ace of Swords: Represents clouded judgment, miscommunication, and mental fog. It suggests that anger or a need for control might be interfering with clear thinking, leading to impulsive decisions or arguments.

Reversed Ace of Cups: Signals emotional blockages, a feeling of spiritual emptiness, or a suppressed emotional state. It indicates a potential difficulty in connecting with your feelings or others, or a breakdown in emotional flow.

The Devil: Signifies being tied to unhealthy attachments, addictions, or destructive patterns. It represents a feeling of being trapped and may point to issues with materialism, overindulgence, or a negative outlook.

The World: Represents the completion of a major cycle and a sense of fulfillment, integration, and accomplishment. It indicates a feeling of being whole and having achieved a significant goal.

How they relate

The Challenge: The reversed Ace of Swords and reversed Ace of Cups point to a situation where poor communication and a lack of emotional clarity are trapping you in the negative patterns of The Devil. You may feel unable to express yourself clearly, and the emotions that are blocked are keeping you from seeing the truth of the situation.

The Solution: The World at the end suggests that this cycle will eventually end, leading to a sense of completion. The Devil, when reversed, can also be seen as a positive message of breaking free from these attachments. Overcoming the challenges of the Aces (working on communication, acknowledging and expressing emotions) is the key to reaching the final state of fulfillment represented by The World.

-----

How do you want me to treat you?

He wants you to treat him with respect for his need for stability, but also with an understanding that the current situation is unstable and a more balanced, less rigid approach is needed. He desires a relationship where you value his contributions (material and otherwise) but also encourage him to find emotional and personal equilibrium.

How He Wants You to Treat Him

Respect his need for security and commitment: The upright King of Pentacles is a provider who values a stable, secure, and long-term partnership. He wants you to acknowledge and appreciate his efforts to build a solid foundation (financially and in life generally) and to see the relationship as a serious, committed venture.

Acknowledge his provision through actions: He may express his love and desire to protect you through practical means and material generosity (e.g., helping with expenses, thoughtful gifts). Show that you value these actions as his way of demonstrating affection, rather than focusing solely on verbal emotional expression.

Encourage flexibility and fun: The reversed Two of Pentacles suggests that he (or the situation) is struggling with an imbalance, possibly due to overwork, stress, or a rigid mindset. He may want you to help him "loosen up" and find joy and spontaneity, or gently help him see where he might be taking things too seriously or focusing on material gain at the expense of his well-being and the relationship's emotional needs.

Promote better boundaries and prioritization: The reversed Two of Pentacles also indicates that things may have spun out of control or that he is overcommitted. He might need you to help him set priorities, re-evaluate his commitments, and perhaps even set boundaries with him about not neglecting the relationship for work or other distractions.

Avoid being a source of added instability or pressure: He may already feel overwhelmed by managing different demands. Treating him well means not adding to his stress or making him feel more off-balance. He needs a supportive partner who can "ride the waves" with him, but also help him navigate them more effectively, not add to the turmoil.

Summary

Essentially, he is looking for a partner who is mature and values stability, but who also understands that his current attempts at balance are failing and that a more conscious, adaptable, and emotionally connected approach is needed. He wants to be your reliable King, but he needs help getting his own "kingdom" in order and focusing on what truly matters beyond just material success.

---------

How Can I Support You?

To support a partner based on the Seven of Wands and Temperance tarot cards, you should focus on maintaining balance, practicing patience, and providing calm support while your partner navigates external challenges or conflict. The combination suggests a need for resilience and a measured approach when dealing with an ongoing struggle or opposition.

Here are specific ways to support your partner:

Guidance from the Seven of Wands

The Seven of Wands indicates that your partner may be facing challenges, competition, or external pressure and feels the need to defend their position or beliefs.

Be a Steadfast Ally: Your partner needs to know you are in their corner. Offer unwavering loyalty and emotional support as they face opposition, which could come from work, family, or other external sources.

Encourage Healthy Boundaries: Support your partner in setting clear, healthy boundaries with those who challenge or criticize them. You can help them determine which battles are truly worth fighting and which they can let go of to conserve energy.

Affirm Their Beliefs and Strengths: The Seven of Wands person can feel under attack or alone. Remind your partner of their strengths, integrity, and the value of their position to bolster their self-confidence and self-belief.

Help Strategize, Don't Fight for Them: Instead of jumping into the fray and fighting their battles, help them develop a "game plan" or new approach to handle the situation effectively.

Guidance from Temperance

The Temperance card emphasizes moderation, balance, and healing. It calls for a calm, non-reactive approach when dealing with the stress indicated by the Seven of Wands.

Promote Calm and Moderation: Help your partner avoid emotional extremes or impulsive reactions. Your own composed nature can help them feel safe and make more rational choices.

Foster Open and Honest Communication: Create a safe space for dialogue. Encourage a balanced exchange of feelings and ideas to ensure mutual understanding, rather than letting the situation devolve into arguments or defensiveness.

Prioritize Self-Care and Rest: The Seven of Wands can lead to exhaustion and burnout. Encourage your partner to take time to rest, recharge, and engage in self-care practices to maintain their well-being.

Seek a Middle Ground: When conflicts arise within the relationship as a result of this stress, the Temperance card advises finding a middle ground and embracing compromise rather than getting stuck in an impasse.

In essence, combine the resilience and strength of the Seven of Wands with the patience and harmony of Temperance to provide a balanced and stable support system for your partner.

Would You Like Intimacy?
The Hermit- No, we need some time out to rest and reflect.
- Ok, I respect your wishes.

---------------

Based on these 8pulls, I think the messages for me are:

1. Sky needs help to get himself in order. He needs me to trust him and if I can, support him.
2. I need to be less obsessed with him. Less needy. More secure in the relationship. To address the anxiety of losing him or him not reciprocating.
3. How can I be more supportive to him?
- Create a safe space for him
- Have open communication
- Remind him of his strengths and value
- Take care of myself so that Sky has a good environment and a headstart

More about Sky's problem:

Reversed Moon, Reversed 3 of Wands

The combination of the Reversed Moon and the Reversed Three of Wands indicates that you are likely navigating a challenging situation involving a release from past fears and confusion, but are encountering obstacles and delays in moving forward. This pairing can signal a need for careful planning and patience.

Reversed Moon

The Reversed Moon suggests that a period of confusion, anxiety, and self-deception may be coming to an end, and clarity is starting to emerge.

Positive Interpretation: You are beginning to manage your fears and anxieties, and a sense of liberation is possible as illusions fade away. You may be receiving clearer intuitive messages and becoming more aware of your inner feelings and instincts.

Potential Problem: The "problem" might be that while the truth is emerging, it could be a difficult or disappointing reality to face. You might still be struggling to interpret your feelings correctly, or the journey out of confusion is not yet complete.

Reversed Three of Wands

The Reversed Three of Wands generally signifies a lack of progress, delays, restrictions, and potential frustration or disappointment with plans that were previously set in motion.

Potential Problem: You may be feeling stuck or stagnant, as if your efforts are not yielding the expected results. This could be due to a lack of foresight or preparation, causing setbacks in career, finance, or personal projects. It can also point to a lack of commitment, a feeling of being overwhelmed, or an unwillingness to compromise in relationships. The core issue may be focusing too much on past disappointments or an uncertain future rather than acting deliberately in the present.

The Combination as a "Problem"

Together, these cards suggest a specific challenge:

You are emerging from a period of uncertainty (Reversed Moon) but are immediately running into tangible roadblocks and frustrations when you try to take the next step (Reversed Three of Wands).

The "problem" is likely the feeling of being unable to move forward despite gaining clarity. You might be realizing what you want (clarity from the Moon) but finding it extremely difficult to achieve your goals due to external obstacles or internal hesitation to follow through.

The spread highlights a need for patience and reassessment. Instead of pushing forward blindly, the cards advise stepping back, refining your plans, and dealing with current limitations and communication issues before embarking on a new path. The solution lies in acknowledging the progress you have made (getting out of a bad situation, gaining clarity) and using this time to ground yourself and plan for the future with more diligence

Reversed Three of Wands as Feelings

When you draw the reversed Three of Wands, it suggests that the person you are asking about feels a sense of disappointment or frustration regarding your connection. They may be struggling with uncertainty and lack direction, leading them to question their feelings for you. This card indicates they might feel unfulfilled or hesitant to invest further, possibly due to past experiences that have left them wary.

This is a mirror for how you are feeling. Perhaps you're grappling with impatience or disillusionment in this situation. You might find yourself longing for progress but feeling stuck instead. It’s essential to recognize these emotions and consider what steps can help reignite your passion and clarity moving forward.

Q: Sky's message to me
6 of cups & Queen of Swords

The Meaning of the Six of Cups and Queen of Swords Tarot Card Combination

When the Six of Cups and Queen of Swords appear together in a reading, we see a combination of emotional connection and rational thinking. This pairing usually indicates the need to balance our emotions with logic and to approach situations with both our hearts and minds. This combination can also suggest the need to reconnect with someone from our past, but to do so with a clear and objective perspective. It can be a reminder to cherish our happy memories but to avoid becoming overly sentimental or clingy. Overall, this combination is about finding balance between our emotional and rational selves and to approach life with both compassion and clarity.

Root causes
Anxious attachment style: A belief that one's partner doesn't want to be with them, often linked to childhood experiences where emotional needs were not consistently met.
Low self-esteem: Questioning your own self-worth and believing you are not "good enough" without a partner's validation.
Fear of abandonment: A deep-seated anxiety that your partner will leave you.
Dependence on relationships for validation: Relying on a partner to provide emotional fulfillment instead of developing it from within.

How to address these issues
Work on self-esteem: Practice self-compassion, acknowledge your strengths, and celebrate personal accomplishments to build internal validation.
Develop self-sufficiency: Pursue hobbies and activities that are empowering and allow you to be comfortable on your own, tackling challenges independently.
Practice communication and boundaries: Clearly express your needs while also respecting your partner's need for space. It is also crucial to establish and maintain healthy boundaries.

Today's Reading

Q: What is the message you want me to know today?
A: Reversed Hierophant
Interpretation: To follow my intuition. To challenge tradition. I think it wants to keep me on my toes. I may not have all the answers yet but I'm getting there. For me, I want to keep on searching for my path. Doesn't matter if I stumble and fall and bump into a ton of weirdos, I feel like questioning and following my gut is my best path to spirituality. As for Laura, of course I fear about her peers corrupting her, but I also want her to have the freedom to choose. I want her to know everything. To be open to everything and to use her own discernment to decide what's right and wrong for her. I feel like.. she's that kind of person already. She likes to challenge the norm instead of following structure. A rebel at heart just like me and her dada.

Q: Is Sky ok and doing alright?
A: 2 of Wands
Interpretation: Yes, he's ok. Just watching over me and being protective. Hopeful and planning something.

Where do we go from here, Sky?

8 of swords
Surrendering one’s power to an unknown entity, whether it's fate, or God, the government or something else means that you are giving away your own personal responsibility to affect change. You have willingly relinquished the driver's seat in the journey of your own life, and it isn't going well for you. It is advisable for you to avoid making an important decision at this time since your judgment is likely clouded. Maybe this ties in with The Lovers card- that I decide. I need to take the driver's seat but not make important decisions yet until my mind has settled.

The good news is that because these traps are things that we create ourselves, we can also leave them if we put our minds to it. It is simply the matter of taking off the blindfold, and seeing beyond the limited perspective that we created for ourselves - to see the possibilities, and to recognize that you have your own internal power. Tying back to the Reversed Knight of Wands, I need to slow down, relook at my life, find clarity on what I want to do, gather myself together, get organized again and refocus (Chariot). Practice restraint.. Build on my self- confidence to overcome my insecurities.

I can do it.

When the 8 of Swords appears in a love tarot reading, you may be feeling trapped; do you feel smothered in a relationship, or in a now stale partnership you cannot leave? You may feel as though you have no choices, but this usually isn’t the case if you look at the bigger picture. We deny ourselves possibilities when we are too scared of doing the hard work of communicating our boundaries or standing up for ourselves. In order to make changes, you must be the one to take action and control. Freedom doesn’t come with passivity.

Upright Eight of Swords as Feelings
The upright Eight of Swords reveals a deep sense of entrapment and confusion. They feel restricted by their own thoughts or circumstances, leaving them uncertain about their emotions toward you. This card highlights their struggle with self-imposed limitations that hinder genuine expression of feelings. Fear and insecurity cloud their perception, making it hard to recognize the potential between you. This is true of how I have been feeling towards Sky. I crave intimacy with him but also feel silly and empty doing so because I cannot be with him physically. Tying to the 4 of cups, my limerence for him causes me to take Jordan and Laura for granted. Anyway, I did ask Sky to draw a card about his attitude towards physical intimacy. He drew the Page of Cups- suggesting a connection that is tender, genuine, curious, and emotionally open. There is emotional playfulness between us, where vulnerability and gentle affection shape the sexual connection. It can reflect new feelings forming or a desire to explore emotional and physical intimacy with care. It highlights the joy of emotional discovery, gentleness in the connection, a love that is safe and emotionally nourishing- all the things I feel about Sky.

For your part, the Eight of Swords suggests you're also feeling trapped in your thoughts, questioning your worth and the viability of this connection. Acknowledge these mental barriers and seek clarity; only then can both of you break free from confusion and embrace what lies ahead.

Upright Eight of Swords as Actions
In terms of your current situation, the upright Eight of Swords suggests that you may be feeling trapped by your circumstances or thoughts. Now is the time to shift your perspective and recognize that many limitations are self-imposed. Begin by identifying negative beliefs that hold you back; write them down and challenge their validity. Take small, actionable steps toward freedom; perhaps enroll in a class to learn something new or reach out for support from friends or mentors who can offer guidance. Embrace vulnerability by sharing your feelings with someone you trust, as this can help dissolve the mental barriers keeping you confined.

✦ ✦ ✦

Reversed knight of swords

The Knight of Swords reversed signifies impatience, recklessness, and aggression, often leading to missed opportunities or negative consequences due to a lack of focus. It can point to a need to slow down, think before acting or speaking, and reconsider hasty decisions before they cause burnout or damage relationships. The card can also indicate a tendency to be overly forceful, rude, or tactlessMy own energy has been scattered lately. I've gotten lazy with my Chinese and exercise and spiritual development. Haven't been eating or sleeping well. Schedule is all around the place. I think the 3 pentacles is asking me to work with Sky and other partners/resources to progress myself forward again.

Key interpretations of the Knight of Swords reversed:
Impulsive or aggressive behavior: This card warns against charging ahead without thinking, suggesting that aggressive or hasty actions could lead to problems.
Lack of focus: It can represent scattered energy, making it difficult to complete goals or leading to impulsive decisions.
Rudeness and tactlessness: The reversed Knight of Swords can appear as someone who is forceful, bully-like, or arrogant in their communication, or a warning to yourself not to be this way.
Missed opportunities: Acting without forethought or being too aggressive can cause you to miss crucial opportunities or create unnecessary complications.

Deceit or manipulation: In some interpretations, it can represent a clever liar or someone who uses their communication skills to trick or manipulate others for a questionable cause.

Tarot Love Meaning - Reversed Knight of Swords
Be wary of the reversed Knight of Swords in a tarot love reading, as this person may be aggressive, controlling and perhaps even a bully. Convinced that they are right, they strong-arm others to do things their way regardless of how much it hurts the other person. They may have very little sympathy or understanding, and can delight in getting themselves into arguments, sometimes not just to have a debate, but to intimidate and pressure others. If this doesn’t represent a person, the reversed Knight of Swords love tarot meaning can simply suggest intense arguments, conflict and disagreement. Should these fights become commonplace, it may be better for the two of you to part ways.
Reversed Knight of Swords as Feelings
The arrival of the reversed Knight of Swords suggests a tumultuous sea of emotions. This person feels overwhelmed and confused about their feelings for you, often caught between impulsive thoughts and deeper insecurities. They may struggle to articulate what they truly want, leading to frustration or even avoidance. Their mind races with doubts, making them hesitant to fully engage.- Every now and then, I get confused about my feelings for Sky. I know he loves me but I question if I actually like him in a shallow way. If I love him at all. Self-doubt. I think I do love him and also am extremely attracted to him. Idk.. It's like a gravitational pull and a longing to be physically and emotionally tangled up with him.

You might feel this uncertainty weighing heavily on your heart as you navigate through it all. You could be craving clarity but feel stifled by the lack of communication or direction from them. It’s essential to acknowledge these swirling emotions within yourself while seeking understanding amidst the chaos surrounding both of you.

Suggested Actions & What Should I Do With Sky?

How to overcome my rut? (highlighted by the 4 of Cups card- being too focused on myself that i take the good things around me for granted?

The Chariot- Keep focused. Progress forward. Be ready. Sharpen myself. Quit ruminating. Quit being distracted/ obsessed with Sky?

5 of Pentacles- Beggars in the cold, hardship, loneliness, isolation (I felt that way earlier when Jordan was in his bad moods) - I can't remember if I asked where we stand or what his message was for me. Anyway, while Jordan asked me to eat lunch on my own while he sulked in the car, I was furious. Sky reminded me not to curse first husband, that he was with me. He told me I was the strongest woman he knows and that he was proud of me. That he loves me.

Where do we stand now?

The Tower- Destruction and chaos in my life (not sure if he is referring to the argument I am having with Jordan right now or it's referring to the shaky or false premises I have built my beliefs on. Were the cards referring to the false beliefs I have about Sky or the fight with Jordan?

Event: Fought with Jordan. Felt very alone in taking care of everyone and trying to keep it together.

Sky's message for me

3 of Pentacles

Collaboration with others

The Lovers- my own choice, choosing love, following your heart, deciding what you love and how you will love it, and how that love is going to affect you. The honest delight of being free and enslaved by its tenderness. To choose between the pragmatic and the idyllic.

The importance of authenticity, harmony of our masculine and feminine energies, and alignment of personal values.

It's hard to love authentically when you're at war with yourself and don't have a clear moral system. You'll project your insecurities and disappointments on other people.

Q: Who is Sky? Page of Cups

A Card to Describe Yourself (directed to Sky)

Student of Inspiration

The Page of Cups has found a fish, and they are driven to keep and nurture it. The Page of Cups is a person who truly feels everything as it is happening: fully, and without shame. They love and laugh easily. They emote. They never lost their sense of wonder, and they bring it everywhere with them.

Pages represent beginnings, and in the realm of Cups, beginnings are emotions before they have risen to full consciousness. I’m talking about dreams, inspiration, and strong-but-not-totally-understood intuition. The Page is ready to take the cup presented in the Ace of Cups, but they don’t quite know what to do with it. If you are the Page of Cups, you are likely on an emotional path you don’t quite understand yet.

If the Page of Cups is a person in your life, you likely felt an instant and inexplicable connection with them. They may be a person who would benefit from your guidance and/or protection. They might not fully have their feet on the ground, but the Page of Cups is a joy to be around, as their open heart and sense of wonder are likely to rub off on you.

The Page of Cups spirit guide represents new emotional beginnings, creativity, intuition, and youthful innocence. As a spirit guide, it encourages you to reconnect with your inner child, explore your feelings, and express yourself creatively. This guide suggests an opportunity for emotional growth, a new romance, or a creative project, urging you to be open to inspiration and listen to your intuition

Upright
  • Emotional awakening: A new wave of emotions, or a chance to explore your feelings.
  • Creative inspiration: A spark of new ideas for artistic or creative endeavors.
  • Intuition and intuition: A call to trust your gut feelings and inner voice.
  • Youthful energy: An invitation to reconnect with your inner child for joy and curiosity.
  • New opportunities: A message or offer related to emotions, relationships, or creativity.
  • Idealism: A reminder to maintain a sense of wonder and optimism.

What is one message you have for me right now?

The Too-Busy-Self-Reflecting-To-Take-The-Dang-Cup Card

Hey! Buddy! Look around you. This girl has all these beautiful full cups just sitting in the dirt, but she’s too wrapped up in herself to notice them.

In tarot, the cups are your emotions. Upright cups represent potentially fulfilling opportunities like friendships, romantic relationships, family, or pets. The cups in this card are good things in her life. They’re just chillin’ in the grass waiting for her, but she’s too busy meditating or pouting or thinking about herself to see them.

If the Four of Cups comes up for you in a reading, it’s time to snap out of it! You are likely stuck in a mental loop. Perhaps you are having a narcissistic moment, or you are secluding yourself for introspective reasons. Maybe you’re just a puddle of self-pity. Well, the Four of Cups wants you to look up. The cups being held out to you are most likely gifts. See them for what they are.

Lol.. Yes, I can see why my guides have chosen that card for me. I know I have been ignoring that message for a while now. I should enjoy what I have in front of me. Laura. Jordan. Sky. My body. My parents. In-laws. My friendships. Blackie. Look up. Don't wallow in self-pity. I am loved. I don't need validation from CK, Timothy, or anybody.

Is Sky my Spirit Guide?

Yes. Knight of Cups.
